Lou Buonomo Bio
My interest in photography began with a trip to Australia. I found beautiful scenes that my point and shoot Canon Elph just could not do justice to. With an upcoming trip to Italy planned in August 2003, I decided to invest in the “big guns” and bought the Canon 10D.
Digital photography has allowed me to combine my interest in photography with my background in technology. It has also ensured that I will have to remain employed well past retirement age to finance my hobby!
I discovered NWPLI in the spring of 2004. It has been inspiring to see the images of club members, especially Chas, Capt. Stu, and Jimmy G. In the short time I have been a member, the willingness of fellow members to share their work and their knowledge has allowed me to measurably improve my skills already.
Looking through the viewfinder of my camera has opened my eyes to the natural beauty here on LI, one of the most beautiful places in the world!
I am currently the president for NWPLI, a internationally award winning photo club.
