Charlie Glatzer and I shared the gallery space of the Long Island Aquarium Headquarters in the 1990’s. We knew each other’s work but we didn’t know each other. It wasn’t until 2001 that we had our own ‘space odyssey’ and met at Berger Bros. He told me about NWPLI but it took me a few more years to discover you on my own…and I’m glad I did!

I’ve been photographing all my life. My dad hung a Brownie Reflex around my neck at age five and told me to hold still when I snapped. Sometimes I even had film. Today I shoot traditionally and digitally with the Canon EOS 1V and the Canon Mark II 1D…and I use a tripod because I can’t hold still.

A published and exhibited photographer and naturalist, I travel extensively. The American Museum of Natural History, the New York Hall of Science, Audubon and Manhattan and Long Island galleries are among the venues where my photography has been exhibited and sold.

My camera is an integral part of me...an extension of my mind, heart, eye...a part of my past, present and future. It is a synthesis of my ‘love affair’ with nature and with life. Wherever I go I bring my camera... Visit my website, www.hollygordonphotographer.com to continue the visual journey.
