John Heidecker Bio
It started with a 35mm pentax camera. Since then I've taken BOCES courses in back & white, color developing and printing. Currently use Nikon Digital cameras from wide angle to telephoto lenses. I enjoy photographing birds, wild flowers and wild orchids, plants, scenic, insects & spiders, my family and friends.
I have a library of 35mm nature slides and currently manage a digital library of natural history images.
Have taught photography at The American Museum of Natural History and Adult Education Centers on Long Island, the PFLI, Photographic Federation of Long Island. I've presented 35mm slide shows at NECCC Amhurst Convention at UMASS College , camera clubs, libraries and Audubon clubs on Long Island.
