Dennis Hodulick Bio
My interest in photography began with the birth of my daughter in 1971. A close friend who was a photographer suggested that instead of spending money on professional baby pictures I should consider investing in a 35mm camera setup. Photography helped change my life. At that point in my life I was disgusted with the world around me and photography helped me see the beauty that was also there in abundance.
In 1999 I began to enter into the world of digital photography with a Sony Mavica. I slowly progressed through several “upgrades” to the Nikon D70, D200 and D300 I now own. Digital photography along with strong computer skills has made photography that much more interesting and challenging.
In the beginning of 2005 I found NWPLI on the web and have been coming to the monthly meetings. I find the comradely interesting and the contest and critiques challenging. Because of the friendliness and openness of the group my photography skills have significantly increased.
