Welcome to NWPLI
Welcome
to the website of the Nature and Wildlife Photographers of Long Island (NWPLI),
a growing community of Nature Photographers whose images are some of the finest Long
Island has to offer.
We meet once per month, see calendar for
location and dates of our meetings. Meetings are informal yet both educational and fun. Normally we
have a lecture or slide show by either one of our members or a guest speaker. This is
followed by a monthly photo contest and then a critique session. You don't have to be an experienced photographer to join us.
Long Island is surrounded by water and as such has many excellent spots for nature
photography. Hawks, Snowy Owls, Osprey, Ducks and Songbirds to Seals dot our shores. Our
State Parks are abundant as well and include Mink, Red Foxes, Wild Turkeys, Deer, Reptiles
and more. The four seasons are all unique and as such we have many different
things to seek out for each of the seasons. The best part is, for the most
part, the above is free and just waiting for you to squeeze that shutter.
We hope you will seek us out as the experts on Long Island for Nature
Photography.
Next Meeting is: Thursday, December 11, 2008
